Where can I start the Airraces?
The Airraces are located at Las Venturas Airport, which can be found at the Westside of the Harry Gold Parkway-freeway. Driving towards the airport you will see the large terminal from distance. You can not go through this entrance to enter the enclosure, but you will have to use the entrance for licensed pilots. This entrance is located at the right side of the large terminal. Go through this entrance and you will see a red marker directly on your right. Walk into the red marker and you will see the screen where you can start the various Airraces.

World War Ace
Used vehicle: Rustler
Length race: 4.24 Miles (6.78 KM)
This airrace starts at Los Santos Airport, where it will also finish after cruising over complete Los Santos. The Rustler is a plane easy to handle, but this race will not be as easy as it looks. There are lots of skyscrapers in Los Santos and you will have to fly with your Rustler among those skyscrapers. One drop in concentration can cause a crash with disastrous consequences. Just keep calm, do not steer too wild and it will be quite easy to go through the different checkpoints. These checkpoints, also known as corona’s, are located close to each other so a little bit of dexterity is required. The reward for passing this race is $10,000.

Barnstorming
Used vehicle: Stuntplane
Length race: 7.64 Miles (12.22 KM)
Barnstorming is also a race with start and finish at the same location: San Fierro Airport. You will have to fly over the so-called Badlands, an area with lots of water. The plane used in this race, the Stuntplane, is not easy to handle and reacts very quickly to small movements. It will be quite difficult to keep this plane under control for several minutes without crashing. Make sure to keep as calm as possible while flying the Stuntplane to prevent a crash. Do not quickly turn the plane to the left or the right but very slowly. When you finally pass this race you will get a reward of $10,000.

Military Service
Used vehicle: Hydra
Length race: 10.80 Miles (17.28 KM)
This race starts at Verdant Meadows and will end in San Fierro. In the first part of this airrace you will fly with the Hydra over the Desert and than you will head to San Fierro. As usual it is recommended to fold in the wheels of the plane. The Hydra has so-called rotating boosters, use the 8 on your numpad (PC) to rotate these boosters for horizontal flight or push the right joystick forward if you are playing San Andreas with the PS2. When you reach a good speed throttle down, because the boosters will keep your speed high. The corona’s are located close to each other, so do not fly too fast. The Hydra is not difficult to keep under control, but a little practice will help passing this race. For passing this race you will get a reward of $10,000, again.

Chopper Checkpoint
Used vehicle: Maverick
Length race: 3.05 Miles (4.88 KM)
This race with a Maverick starts at the aircraft graveyard Verdant Meadows and will end at the well-known village with “The World’s Biggest Cock”, Las Payasdas. The airrace has a length of just 3 Miles and it leads among others over the Sherman Dam and Bayside Marina. The Maverick is easy to handle and with the simple circuit, Chopper Checkpoint is one of the easiest airraces. There are few obstacles and the turns that you will have to make are easy. The only thing to notice are the rocks in this area. For passing this easy race you will get rewarded with $10,000, like always.

Whirly Bird Waypoint
Used vehicle: News Chopper
Length race: 2.73 Miles (4.37 KM)
The top of a high building in San Fierro is the start of this race which will lead you over San Fierro to the finish in north-western San Fierro. The News Chopper that you will have to use in this airrace is very maneuverable and easy to turn with. It is however quite difficult to fly with this helicopter through the streets of San Fierro, but with a little experience it will be quite easy. Do not take the turns slowly, because the corona’s are in the middle of the city and with the high buildings of San Fierro it will be difficult to avoid a crash. Try to fly as calm as possible and do not take sudden turns. The reward for this race will be, of course, $10,000.

Heli Hell
Used vehicle: Hunter
Length race: 3.08 Miles (4.93 KM)
The last race to pass is an easy race over Los Santos. You will start in the vicinity of Los Santos Airport, where you also are expected to finish. The small streets of Los Santos can cause some problems, but just take your time for this race and it will not be a problem to pass this race. After passing the corona’s in the correct order you will receive the great reward of $10,000, just like we are used to.
