Rockstar Games (sometimes abbreviated to Rockstar or R*) is a game developer based in New York, which produces games under the lable Take Two Interactive. Rockstar Games was founded in 1998 by Sam and Dan Houser, Terry Donovan, Jamie King and Gary Foreman. The company has eight studios in five different countries. Several of these studios were founded under a different name, but were bought by Rockstar Games.
Rockstar Games is mostly known for the Grand Theft Auto series. The company has been criticized for making controversial games like GTA, Manhunt and Bully.
