Grand Theft Auto: Online offers a large range of survival jobs made by Rockstar Games. Ranking up unlocks new survival jobs, although it is possible to join someone on a job whilst not having the prerequisite rank. All survival jobs can be played with a maximum of four players.

Survival jobs are all about just that: surviving. The goal is to survive ten waves of enemies, with each consecutive wave having more and stronger enemies. Enemies in the early waves start with simple pistols and gradually upgrade to Combat MG's, and even miniguns in the last two waves. Moreover, waves four, seven and ten features helicopters: respectively one, two or three have to be dealt with. Inbetween waves, players have a short (~15 second) window to collect themselves and make use of the weapon, health and armor pickups that are spread across the map.

Players that are killed may respawn the next wave, provided that at least one player made it through the last wave. The job is over when all players are killed, or all ten waves are completed. The awarded amount of cash is depended on the number of survived waves. $20,000 and a 3400 odd RP are awarded after surviving all ten waves.
