Skills
GTA San Andreas has a nice new feature concerning weapons. You can improve your weapons-skills by a lot of practice (on a shooting range or in real life) with a particular weapon. For each individual weapon you can achieve three skill-levels:
skill-level | description |
---|---|
Poor skill | This is your starting skill, you only know the basics of your weapon. |
Gangster skill | When you get more experience with your weapon, handling will become easier and you will be more effective. |
Hitman skill | After lots of practice and experience with a weapon, you will finally reach Hitman Skill. With the lighter weapons, you will now be able to fire them while walking and your weapons will also reload faster. And best of all: with certain weapons, you will be wielding double weapons. |
Hint: firing your weapon with great accuracy will improve your skills faster!
Ammu-Nation
You can get your hands on weapons, by searching for Weapon pickups, but of course you can also buy your weapons in San Andreas. After completing the mission Doberman the weapons-shops, Ammu-Nation, will open their doors. Buying weapons is quite easy. You walk into the store and stand in the marker. A menu will pop up, that will enable you to select and buy the various available weapons. By selecting the same weapon again, you can buy additional ammunition.
Not all weapons will be available from the start, some weapons are only available when a particular mission is completed. This will be announced in the upper-left corner of your screen, when you walk into the Ammu-Nation store.
In the larger stores, you will also find a shooting range, where you can improve your weapon-skills.
The locations of the Ammu-Nation stores in San Andreas can be found on the Ammu-Nation map
